A mandap is the single biggest décor decision of the wedding day. It is where the pheras happen, where every photograph will be taken, and where your family will spend six hours.
Three real design decisions:
1. Traditional or modern? Traditional: four pillars, canopy roof, marigold-and-rose floral work, red-and-gold palette. Deep-rooted, family-friendly, photographs beautifully in traditional wedding attire.
Modern: floral hoops, minimalist frames, muted palettes (blush, sage, cream, terracotta), less overhead structure. Increasingly popular in Gurgaon, especially for couples who chose their own décor.
2. Real flowers or a mix? Real flowers: unmatched fragrance, texture and photograph quality. Wilt during long ceremonies, especially in Gurgaon October-February afternoons.
Mixed (real + artificial): looks nearly identical in photos, holds up through 6 hours, lower cost. Our typical recommendation for functions over 4 hours.
3. What time is the ceremony? Morning: light-and-airy palettes work beautifully. Afternoon: heat is your enemy for real flowers — plan for shade or mixed florals. Evening / Night: dramatic lighting matters more than daylight-visible florals. This is where the mandap can look truly cinematic.

Full 100% real floral setups have inherent wilt risk that we flag before booking.
13. Do you provide the mandap structure or do we? We provide it as part of the mandap décor scope. The structure is built to size for the venue, the priest, the couple, both sets of parents and the camera angles. Freestanding, self-supporting, safe. We do not sub-contract structural elements - our own team builds and dismantles.
14. Can you do a same-day multi-venue wedding across Gurgaon? Yes. Common Gurgaon reality - haldi in Old Gurgaon, sangeet at Sohna Road farmhouse, wedding at DLF banquet. We deploy separate teams to each venue, coordinate around a master timeline, and handle setup and teardown between functions. This is standard for us, not a special request.

17. Do you offer full-service coordination or only décor? Our scope is décor and décor-adjacent coordination (vendor timelines, setup, cleanup). For full wedding planning (venue, caterer, photographer, guest management), we recommend a dedicated wedding planner. We coordinate seamlessly with wedding planners and are often booked through them for their Gurgaon weddings.
18. Do you handle disposal and cleanup? Yes, cleanup is included at every function. This matters more for the family than they realise - nobody wants to be sweeping marigold at midnight after the wedding. Between-function cleanup is critical at multi-function venues where the next event is booked in a tight window.
19. What if the weather changes and it rains on the wedding day? Gurgaon rainy season is largely July-September, outside typical wedding season. If a winter shower is forecast, we brief you 48 hours ahead on which setups need contingency (outdoor mandaps especially). Our farmhouse teams carry canopies and heaters as standard for winter setups. Full pivots (indoor relocation) are the venue's call, not ours.
20. What information do you need to give me a wedding decoration quote? Six things: wedding date, guest count, list of functions (haldi, mehendi, sangeet, wedding, reception), venue for each, aesthetic preference (traditional, modern, boho, custom), and rough overall budget. A Pinterest board helps a lot. Free site visit follows within 3-5 days of initial call. Scope proposal within 24 hours of visit.
