This is the part that decides whether your mug looks right — and almost nobody explains it before you order.
A mug is round, and it has a handle. Neither of those is a problem, but both change how a design has to be built.

Three things worth knowing:
The handle interrupts the design. With wraparound printing, a portion of your artwork sits either side of the handle. Never place a face, a name or a logo where the handle falls — it looks like the design was cropped by accident.
A right-handed user sees one panel; a left-handed user sees the other. If the design only matters from one angle, two-side printing solves it. This is why two-side is worth the small extra cost on a gift mug.
The print doesn't reach the rim or the base. There's a small unprinted margin at the top and bottom of every mug. Designs that assume full edge-to-edge coverage come back looking oddly floated.

The most common reason a personalised mug disappoints, and it happens before printing even starts.
Send the largest version of the photo you have. A picture that looks sharp on a phone screen is often far too small once it's stretched across a mug. Screenshots, WhatsApp-forwarded images and photos saved from social media are the three most common culprits — all of them get compressed heavily.
Where to get the original: the phone's gallery rather than a chat thread, or the original camera file. If someone sent it to you on WhatsApp, ask them to send it again as a document rather than an image — that skips the compression.
Check the crop before you commit. A mug print area is roughly square-ish, so wide landscape photos lose the edges and tall portraits lose the top or bottom. If a group photo has someone at the far left, they may not survive the crop.
Avoid dark photos. Sublimation printing on white ceramic tends to lighten slightly, so a dim or low-contrast image comes out flatter than it looks on screen. Bright, well-lit photos print best.

Colour-changing mugs are genuinely fun, and there are two things worth knowing before you order a hundred of them.
They need properly hot liquid. Lukewarm tea won't trigger the reveal fully. The effect works best with freshly boiled water or hot coffee.
The coating wears over time. Repeated dishwasher cycles and abrasive scrubbing shorten the life of the reveal. Hand washing keeps it working considerably longer.
They're excellent for a surprise gift or a birthday. For everyday corporate gifting where the mug will be washed daily in an office pantry, a classic ceramic mug with a fired print lasts longer.
Sublimation is the standard method. The design is printed onto transfer paper, then heat-pressed onto a specially coated mug at high temperature. The ink turns to gas and bonds into the coating rather than sitting on top of it.
What that means practically: the print doesn't peel or scratch off, and it survives regular washing far better than a surface print or a sticker.
To keep it looking new: hand wash where possible, avoid abrasive scouring pads, and skip the dishwasher's highest-temperature cycle. Sublimation is durable, not indestructible.
For corporate orders where mugs will be washed daily in an office, ask us about fired ceramic decal printing instead — it's kiln-fired into the glaze and is the most durable option available.
Birthdays. A photo from a shared memory, their name, or an inside joke. One of the most reliably well-received low-cost gifts there is.
Anniversaries and couples. A photo from the wedding, the date, or a matching pair with one design split across two mugs.
Rakhi and festivals. A childhood photo of the two of you lands harder than anything bought off a shelf.
For parents. An old family photograph — the older the better. This one works every single time.
Farewells. A team photo with everyone's signatures printed around it. The mug that actually gets kept.
Corporate and onboarding. Company logo, employee name, or both. A named mug in a joining kit signals someone was expected rather than processed.

Can I order just one personalised mug?
Yes. Single mugs are absolutely fine, and bulk pricing kicks in as the quantity increases.
What photo quality do I need?
Send the largest original you have — from the phone gallery or camera, not a screenshot or a WhatsApp-forwarded copy. If it came via WhatsApp, ask for it again as a document rather than an image, which avoids the compression.
What is the standard mug size?
Most ceramic mugs are 300–350 ml, which is the usual coffee-mug size. Tea cups are smaller; travel mugs are typically 350–500 ml.
One side, two side or wraparound — which should I choose?
One side for a simple logo or photo. Two side if you want the design visible whichever hand holds it, or a photo on one side and a message on the other. Wraparound for collages and full artwork — just keep faces and text away from where the handle falls.
Will the print wash off?
